ARK Design + Build began in 2007 when Matt Gates founded the company under its original name, ARKScapes. What started as a small lawn care operation was powered by Matt’s determination—working long hours across multiple jobs to support his family and help his wife through nursing school. Even with 80- to 90-hour workweeks, Matt remained committed to his vision and looked for ways to serve the community through his growing business.
In 2012, Matt made the leap to focus on ARKScapes full-time, allowing the company to expand beyond lawn care. Over time, the business evolved, and by 2020, it transitioned into ARK Design + Build. With this change came a broader range of services, including interior and exterior remodeling, landscape lighting, and hardscape design—shaping the company into a full-service solution for landscaping and construction needs.
Through years of hard work, a commitment to quality, and a customer-first mindset, ARK Design + Build has earned a reputation for reliable service and exceptional results.
